Ut Kwintet, a wind ensemble based in the Netherlands, unites five musicians from across the globe.

"Ut" is the syllable used in medieval times to name the first note of a musical scale. Ut Kwintet has adopted this concept to represent new beginnings, creation and growth.

Their diverse repertoire spans from classical to contemporary genres, and experienced to emerging composers. Additionally, they arrange pieces from outside of their instrumentation, with the aim to expand the palette of music for wind quintet. Their wide repertoire includes standard composers such as Ligeti, Hindemith and Nielsen while exploring music from composers such as Manuel de Falla, Muczynski and Zemlinsky.

Ut Kwintet is an award-winning ensemble, having secured 1st prize in the Chamber Music category at the Sonus International Music Competition with a score of 98 points.

Driven by their passion for performing, they aim to inspire audiences with their energy, camaraderie and dynamic playing, creating a truly unforgettable concert experience.
